# Connecting the SIGLENT SDS1104X-U Oscilloscope to Computer

## Method 1: Via USB

Download and install the EasyScopeX software [here](https://siglentna.com/service-and-support/firmware-software/digital-oscilloscopes/).

For the model SDS1104X-U, we need the "SDS1000X-U Series Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes". As of April 2022, the newest version is "EasyScopeX – V1.01.02.01.21 (Release Date 05.12.21 )"

Download the NI VISA Runtime [here](https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/drivers/download/packaged.ni-visa.442805.html).

As of April 2022, the newest version is "NI-VISA 21.5".

After rebooting, the oscilloscope should show as a "USB Test and Measurement Device" in Windows Device Manager.

Open EasyScopeX, and click Add Device

Now we should be able to see the real-time screen capture.
