Setting Up SD / microSD Card for vcu118 Linux Image

Recommend using this SanDisk 32GB 32G Ultra Micro SD HC Class 10 TF Flash SDHC Memory Card - SDSQUNB-032G-GN3MN micro SD card:

Insert the SD card to a Ubuntu host machine. Run the following command to list all disks

sudo fdisk -l

Find the target SD card and note down the drive path. Here, it's /dev/sda for this 32GB SD card.

Remove all existing partitions on this card by using sudo gdisk <path_to_the_card>.

(d to delete existing sector, w to apply setting)

create new partition

we need to enable expert mode to be able to create partition strictly at sector 34

(x to enter expert mode. l to change alignment. 1 to set it to 1 sector. m to return to the main menu.)

The first section then can be used to load the Linux binary image.

Use dd to transfer the binary content directly.
